Coach Jonny Booth Biography
Coach Jonny Booth is the CEO/Owner/Founder of Northside Swim Academy. He has a very strong passion for aquatics and has an extensive background in working in the aquatics industry and competing on a high age group level from the years of 2007-2015.
Coach Jonny Booth swam competitively for a club team (YWCA Flying Fish) in Evanston IL. He competed at a regional, junior olympic and age group state level in sprint freestyle, backstroke, and sprint butterfly. Due to mental health struggles in his adolescence, he stopped swimming competitively sophomore year of high school. This was one of the most difficult decisions he'd have to make at that time, but it was the right decision. Even though he stepped away from the competitive scene, he never lost passion for aquatics. He always knew that he would venture back into the aquatics world at some point in his life.
This feeling became a reality after Coach Jonny graduated from high school from an alternative high school chain called Fusion Academy. He started working in the aquatics industry in the summer of 2017 as a swim instructor and has been expanding his aquatics coaching experience ever since. He has had the opportunity to swim instruct hundreds of kids and adults, coach hundreds of kids on competitive swim team, and also teach lifeguarding and swim instructing skills to people coming into the industry. Coach Jonny's niche lies in coaching competitive swimming at an intermediate and advanced age group level, adult learn to swim lessons, and master swim coaching. Coach Jonny has a deep and never-ending passion for coaching others and helping others reach their goals.
In July of 2024 Coach Jonny Booth graduated Georgia State University with his Bachelor's of Science degree majoring in psychology and minoring in entrepreneurship. He plans to get his doctorate in sports psychology and implement sports psychology into Northside Swim Academy. He also plans to create many other different companies and help young entrepreneurs like himself get their businesses off the ground under Northside Enterprises LLC.
Northside Swim Academy was officially started in August of 2022. Coach Jonny continues to put his 110% effort into growing this company. His goal is to make sure as many people as possible have access to high quality, affordable, and easily accessible swim lessons.

Ito Smith's Journey
Coach Jonny Booth has had the opportunity to work with professional football player Ito Smith! Coach Jonny was able to help him swim, starting from not knowing how to swim at all. He worked with him for about 5 days with 4 other children and within those 5 days, Ito went from not knowing how to swim at all for being able to swim a full 25 yards of the pool non-stop. Coach Jonny plans to use his experience and passion for helping others learn how to swim and pass it on to the Northside Swim Academy Staff.

Hello, my name is Sarai Sanders. I am currently a 20-year-old junior in college at Chowan University, but I am originally from Powder Springs, Ga. I am a management major with a minor in marketing with some education in accounting. I am currently the Vice President of our student government on campus and a presidential ambassador. I have been an athlete all my life. I've played lacrosse, wrestling, cross country, and I was a professional league bowler for 7 years. I never grew up swimming competitively, however, I do know how to. I wish to grow this business and help expand it to the best of my ability. Helping to grow the minds, skills, and wisdom of others motivates me to be the best at my job.

Hannah began swimming competitively at the age of 7 out of New Orleans, LA. She furthered her
swimming career through college where she competed for Delta State and Brenau University. In her
college career she was a NCAA Division II National Qualifier and Academic All-American, as well as a 7
time Appalachian Conference Champion and an 8 time NAIA All-American. Some of her other honors
include 2009 Delta State Swimming Newcomer Award, 2013 Appalachian Conference Swimming Woman
Athlete of the Year and 2013 NAIA Female Swimmer of the Month. For over 15 years Hannah has taught
and coached swimming to children and adults of all abilities. Outside of the pool she enjoys spending time
with her husband, three children and two dogs.

Hi my name is Jaidi DuBose, I currently reside East of Atlanta in the Decatur region. I am 22 years of age, studying nursing. I learned how to swim at the ripe age of 3 and haven’t left the water since. I began competitively swimming around age 12 and was able to get offered a swim scholarship and swam collegiality as well. While in college I became a lifeguard and swim instructor as well. Water and kids are my two favorite things in the whole wide world so to be able to be an instructor to the youth is a dream come true. I plan on being a positive impact for the community and a mental health advocate for those struggling with learning how to swim. I know how frustrating it can be but with patience and diligence I know me and the trainee will be able to do anything.

My name is Elisabeth Roe! I am currently finishing up my bachelor's in Exercise Science at Life University. Growing up, my parents put me in swim lessons, but when I got to high school I found a real passion for swimming and joined my high school swim team! I started as a lifeguard when I was 15 at my neighborhood pool and continued to guard at different pools throughout high school and the start of college! I got certified as a water safety instructor and taught swim lessons for about 3 years before switching to the service industry. I can't wait to be back doing what I am passionate about!

Jordyn (they/them) works as a behavioral therapist for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and is passionate about helping disabled people of all ages have access to the joy of swimming. Jordyn was a member of SwimAtlanta club swim team, Campbell High School Swim Team, and Berry College Swim Team. They worked as the Head Lifeguard and swim instructor at Tolleson Pool and later at Lifetime Fitness, and coached summer league. They are a Master of Social Work graduate student and in their free time can be found hiking with their partner and two dogs or caring for their ever-growing plant collection.

She began as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the YMCA at age 15 then went on to be an Aquatics Director for the YMCA then Regional Manager for Collins Pool. She was a competitive swimmer from 7 to 18 and coached swim team for the YMCA for 3 years. She has a passion for teaching and truly enjoys being in the water.

Hiya, Im Kirsten Kelley, I have been swimming since I was a toddler and my family taught me. My family loves the water and would be in it as much as possible while I was growing up. I never got the chance to be on a swim team or be in swim lessons while I was younger so being able to do this now is amazing. I started instructing in 2021 and fell in love with it. I have always adored swimming and I love being around children and teaching them. So while I might not have a swim team background I love children and I believe that swimming is an essential life-saving skill that everyone should know how to do.

Growing up as a competitive swimmer didn’t just start my love for fitness but also my career. And it all begun with the jump rope, then spin, rebound, kettlebells, club swinging, fitness boxing, and so much more. As a former CrossFit Box owner and working with soccer teams and running clubs I found my niche in Sport Performance and Triathlon coaching. Hi, I’m Rob Jones! I’ve always been drawn to the water—I grew up swimming in our backyard pool starting around age six and spent summers racing my friends, though I’ll admit I’ve always been more of a baseball player than a swim team star. These days, I bring that same spirit of friendly competition and community into my role behind the scenes.
I'm a designer at heart with a passion for creating thoughtful, seamless experiences, and I’m excited to bring that mindset to North Side Swim Academy. I love making things run smoothly so that our instructors can focus on what they do best—teaching kids how to swim with confidence and joy. I believe swimming is a vital life skill, and I’m proud to be part of a team that helps families build those foundations.

My name is Christian Yeatts, I'm from Charlotte NC where I swam club at SwimMAC Carolina as an age group swimmer. I began teaching and coaching at SwimMAC and continued until I graduated from Queens University of Charlotte with my BS in bio. I am proud to say that I was a part the inaugural men's team at Queens University where I competed in the 100fly, 200fly, 200free, 500free, and 1650free as my primary events. After college I began working as a lab technician in the medical field which I have been in for close to 8 years. I am an avid open water swimmer having completed the swim for alligator lighthouse and the swim around key west, 8 and 12 miles respectively. I have competed in local triathlon events since high-school with my preferred distance being olympic. I'm married to my beautiful wife Kristen and we have 2 cats and a dog. I enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking, camping, and anything to do with the outdoors especially if it involves water.
